INAJOG Now Accepts Systematic Review Manuscripts

The Indonesian Journal of Obstetrics and Gynecology (INAJOG) is pleased to announce that, effective September 1, 2026, the journal welcomes submissions of Systematic Review and Systematic Review with Meta-analysis manuscripts in the field of obstetrics and gynecology.

Authors who wish to submit a systematic review are required to follow the INAJOG Author Guidelines and the PRISMA 2020 Statement to ensure methodological transparency, reproducibility, and high-quality reporting.

Manuscript Requirements

Authors should ensure that their manuscript meets the following requirements:

The manuscript must present a systematic review or systematic review with meta-analysis based on a clearly formulated research question.
PRISMA 2020 should be followed for reporting the systematic review.
The PRISMA 2020 Checklist must be submitted as a supplementary file.
A PRISMA Flow Diagram must be included in the manuscript.
The search strategy and information sources must be described clearly and reproducibly.
The eligibility criteria, study selection process, data extraction, and methods of assessing the risk of bias should be clearly reported.
For meta-analysis, the statistical methods, effect measures, heterogeneity assessment, and methods used for addressing potential publication bias should be clearly described, as applicable.
The manuscript should not be submitted as a narrative review or conventional literature review.
The manuscript should follow INAJOG's requirements for manuscript structure, references, tables, figures, and formatting.
The manuscript should contain no more than 5,000 words, with a maximum of 3 tables and/or figures combined.
The abstract should not exceed 250 words and should follow an appropriate structured format.
A maximum of 5 keywords should be provided, arranged alphabetically and written in lowercase.
References should follow the Vancouver style. Authors should ensure that references are current and relevant to the topic.
Authors are encouraged to cite relevant articles previously published in INAJOG. At least two relevant INAJOG references should be included where appropriate.
All authors must meet the ICMJE authorship criteria.
The required Author Statement must be completed and submitted with the manuscript.
The manuscript must be original and must not be under consideration by another journal.
Important Note

INAJOG does not accept narrative reviews or conventional literature reviews. Authors submitting a review article should ensure that the manuscript follows a systematic review methodology and complies with the PRISMA 2020 reporting requirements.

This policy applies to manuscripts submitted to INAJOG from September 1, 2026 onward.

Manuscripts that do not meet the basic requirements may be returned to the authors during the preliminary editorial check before proceeding to peer review.

We invite researchers, clinicians, and academics in the field of obstetrics and gynecology to submit high-quality systematic reviews that provide clinically relevant and evidence-based contributions to the literature.

Please ensure that your manuscript is prepared according to the latest INAJOG Author Guidelines before submission.
