Digital Archiving Policy

The Indonesian Journal of Obstetrics and Gynecology (INAJOG) is committed to ensuring the long-term preservation, integrity, and accessibility of all published scholarly content. To safeguard its digital assets, INAJOG implements a multi-layered digital preservation strategy as outlined below.

PKP Preservation Network (PKP PN)

INAJOG participates in the PKP Preservation Network (PKP PN), a distributed digital preservation service provided by the Public Knowledge Project (PKP) for journals using Open Journal Systems (OJS).

Through PKP PN, published content is archived in geographically distributed preservation nodes to ensure long-term preservation and access. In the event of journal discontinuation or catastrophic technical failure, preserved content can be made accessible through the PKP PN system.

LOCKSS Archiving System

INAJOG supports the LOCKSS (Lots of Copies Keep Stuff Safe) program to ensure permanent archiving and restoration of journal content. LOCKSS is an open-source, library-led digital preservation system that creates multiple copies of content across participating institutions to guarantee redundancy and long-term availability.

Through LOCKSS, INAJOG content is securely preserved and can be restored if the journal website becomes unavailable.

DOI Registration and Persistent Identification

All articles published in INAJOG are assigned a Digital Object Identifier (DOI). DOI registration ensures persistent identification, reliable citation tracking, and long-term discoverability of published works.

Website Archiving and Backup

The journal performs routine server backups and maintains secure storage systems to prevent data loss caused by technical failure, cyber threats, or system malfunction. Backup procedures are conducted regularly to maintain data integrity and recovery capability.

Access in the Event of Journal Cessation

In the event that INAJOG ceases publication, all archived content will remain permanently accessible through PKP PN and the LOCKSS network, ensuring uninterrupted scholarly access.
